Ronda Rousey opened up about her potential UFC appearance in a new role. She hasn’t been actively involved with the sport in years.

Rousey was one of the best fighters to step inside the octagon. She dominated the cage for several years and laid out her opponents within seconds of the match. However, after her MMA career ended, Rousey joined WWE with immediate success. After spending a couple of years in the Stamford-based promotion, she left to pursue other ventures in 2023.

During a recent interview with CBS Sports, Rousey was asked if she would sit cageside in the UFC. Rousey replied that it’s not her scene anymore and that she would rather spend time with her kids.

“I don’t really want to go to a stadium full of people for fun (Rousey said about her possibly sitting cageside at UFC event). I’d rather be out, on my farm or on the beach or something else like that. I think I just have to have a reason to go but, I don’t know. If my kids end up fighting or something like that or someone I end up coaching, you know, ends up fighting, I would go… It’s not really my scene anymore.”

Ronda Rousey continued to say that these things mattered to her when she was younger, but now that she has grown up, she wants to sit at home and sip tea.

“When I was younger, I wanted to put on a hot dress and go to the fights and hang out with everybody and now I’m just kind of like an old lady that just wants to sit home and sip tea… I’ll play it by ear but man, if my kids wanna fight, they would end up being absolutely incredible so that’s kind of how my mom got dragged back into judo and stuff like that. She quit judo and then she never went to a tournament again and then I got into it and she was very much involved in it again and so, if my kids or my kids from my dojo end up getting into it, then I would have a reason.” [H/T Post Wrestling]

Konnan on what went wrong with Ronda Rousey’s WWE run

When Ronda Rousey joined WWE, fans were delighted. However, it didn’t take long for them to turn on her. No matter what she did, the crowd continued to boo her.

Speaking on his Keepin’ It 100, Konnan claimed that Rousey joined the WWE with a sense of entitlement, but it is a stressful environment, and it isn’t for everybody.

“The more layers you peeled off, the more you saw what she really was. I think she went in there entitled and yeah WWE is stressful, bro. It’s not for everybody. There’s a lot of competition. There’s haters. You’ve to look a certain way, you’ve to act a certain way, you’ve to dress a certain way, it’s their own ecosystem (…) It’s very very very stressful just like it was for us,” Konnan said.

It remains to be seen if Ronda Rousey will return to WWE or UFC.
