‘This Generation’s Britney Spears’
Comments poured in fast. Fans, who are likely aware that singer Britney Spears was the face of soda brand Pepsi in the early 2000s, quickly likened Addison to the “Toxic” hitmaker. “This generation’s Britney Spears,” one said. “Close enough, welcome back Britney spears pop princess,” another wrote. Addison had mentioned her admiration for Britney in her June 2024 feature with Interview Magazine. Stating that “loving Britney” is a massive “part of my life,” Addison Rae shared:
“I want to create things that are memorable, that provoke thoughts and feelings in people, and I want to entertain,” she explained. “Britney said it best: ‘There’s only two types of people in the world, the ones that entertain and the ones that observe.’”
